This FNIRSI FDM01 digital noise meter arrived well-packaged. While it didn't include a wall adapter, the provided USB charging cable worked perfectly with a charger I already had. After my typical initial four-hour charge, I found the device to be relatively easy to use. It wasn't as intuitive as some other FNIRSI products I have used in the past, but it wasn't difficult to operate either.
I can't speak to "laboratory precision", but it seemed to produce measurements that were reasonably consistent with readings from a calibrated device. This appears to be a solid, functional tool for price.

I quite like this FNIRST digital noise meter, it is very responsive with ambient sound and a large clear LCD display. With USB C for rechargeable battery built-in, I can save money on disposable batteries for many years of usage.
